Welcome to the Hosted Phone Guru

Nicky Smith

We are happy you have found this web site. You will note this is a very new domain under the .tld (Top Level Domain ) hierarchy recently released as a .guru domain.

So you ask, what is a “guru”?  And you will find it’s roots in Hinduism and Buddhism a spiritual teacher. Synonyms are teacher, tutor, sage, mentor, or spiritual leader. Thus, in this new blog we hope to be a teacher, and a leader of the “Hosted Phone” industry. We hope you will bookmark this page and visit it often because we will have posts and news that you will learn from leaders in the technology industry that have spent many days and years developing a better understanding of this new industry.

In this blog we will have many guest that will address many topics that concern everyone from the CEO of a company to the front office receptionist.  We will discuss technical issues and the easy to grasp simple question that everyone should know the answer, but can’t quickly point to it. This blog has a great search feature that you will find helpful when you need to find an answer to something you read a few weeks ago.

I personally don’t consider myself a “guru” but just a good problem solver for more than 30 years I started as a computer programmer in the late 1970s only to discover I am really a serial entrepreneur that enjoys starting a business and helping it grow. Some of my closest friends say I am a “Visionary Leader in Technology” and I am happy to take that name. I would rather be called just someone that can fix a problem relative to technology.
